This is thread 3
Previous thread >>23344153

You've gone quite a ways in the last three days but as it stands, your journey is not over.
So far you were birthed into the facility, full of life, met your end only to be spit out again. found some supplies and met a friend.

>Fresh from speaking with the facility construction A.I. you head back to camp where your doppelganger Spearmint awaits your return you know that in 16 hours the construction robots will finish their work and turn over Ops Delta to the Security robots. Spearmint seems to be very afraid of all of the robots and the only way foreword is currently through Ops Delta.
>You're just retrieved a large tarp, You currently have a pipe-wrench, knife several MSDS, a speaker and a filtration mask. Back at your cap is a mess of paper 6 more knives 3 flares, four Magic absorbing volatile crystal samples and a wooden stick. There is also a collection of food that you have gathered.

This is the last time you will come back to this camp and you still need to figure out how you're going to coax Spearmint through a bunch of robots.

What will we do now?

> You return to the camp with the tarp. Spearmint is glad to see you. You think to yourself that it would be easier to lead her through Ops Delta blind.
>You ask her if you can do something special when you leave the camp.
"what do you want to do?" she asks.
>I was wondering if I could blindfold you.
>She gives you a strange look.
"I don't think that's safe.."
>Please it's just going to be for a little bit when we leave tomorrow.
" I just don't know about that"

We're getting a turn or two in camp because of the new thread adjustment.

There are three routes. One through the control access leading to the terminal. (Right on the wall)

the fact that the terminal spoke first is a good sign, we could return and speak to it, leaving spear on the stairs.

i'd rather the terminal not see us both at once since that might be a trigger for some sort of 'purge the cloning malfunction' protocol, plus spear sped up so she might be scared.

okay.
give spear the samples, if something goes wrong she can throw them off the railing next to bugbot and then hopefully activating it would pull bugbot off the second floor. since the samples absorb magic actively, her bad aim shouldnt be much of a factor.

we go down and talk to the terminal, give them our number and reference our talk with the foreman.

How are the bullets stored? If the .308+s are stored in metal containers we could potentially rig up some makeshit saddle bags. If so, take a full box worth of a mix, then fill the other with as many mortar shells as possible, we can potentially use those as improvised grenades. Do not take more weight than is reasonable, however.

Pistols are fucking impossible to hit anything with without training. Rifles are MUCH easier to shoot than pistols. .308's not a forgiving round, which is why I hoped we'd find a .22 rifle, but eh.

I'd give a kid a .308 rifle long before I gave him a .45 Colt revolver. Single action revolvers are not easy to shoot guns.

That said an Auto Loading .308 will be a rather complex affair. She'll need to learn not only how to shoot it but also how to load and unload the magazine, how to charge the bolt on a new magazine, how to field strip the thing. Revolvers are simpler for someone who knows what they're doing, and knows we won't be fighting past 25 yards.

>Red 3 it's very flammable
>Yellow 0: but it's very stable.
>White: I've never seen a hazard diamond with a plain flat line so I don't know what that means.

Whatever that stuff is, I don't think anything except a mortar will set it off, and our best bet at that point is hoping the toxicity will drive this Aardvark lookin' motherfucker away, or it'll start burning and scare it off. But at that point we'd be just about as effective just chucking a mortar at it and hoping for a direct kill.

In the first or second area, it seemed to be that was where they were growing the "artificial" samples of magic absorbing crystals. Lots of machinery that had oversized crystals growing out of them, and a toxic non-reactive gas being piped through the area. I'd make my bet they were using gas precipitation to grow the crystals.

Who knows how far we are from there.

if there was a glitch where we spawned because the system thought she had died, it's possible she has lost her slot.

What do we do?

Are they moving away from you or coming towards you? If they're going away then look down the window and see what's in ops delta now. If not we can go to vox and talk in the annocement system. Ask spearmint how many "friednly" things exist here. If there is at least one or two we can send out a message "meet us on the 15th floor."

Let's continue practicing the condense spell as we explore. As for this area, it's a no. It's too exposed to the security bots to go into. I say we ask if anything looks edible from here, and figure out if we can tint or block the windows. Otherwise just block this room off if nothing edible and no way to block the window.
